2026 14th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (ICBCB 2026) was held during March 26-29, 2026 in Kitakyushu, Japan ICBCB 2026 was Co-sponsored by co-sponsored by Kyushu Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University and IEEE, this conference will bring together computational researchers, biomedical scientists, and healthcare providers from around the globe to discuss the latest research findings and innovative ideas in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology.

ICBCB 2026 has received over 300 submissions from researchers across more than 20 countries and regions, including Australia, Chile, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, UK, USA, and Vietnam, highlighting the strong international participation of the conference.The aim of ICBCB 2026 is to provide a platform for all the participants in a constructive discussion on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and related topics.
During the conference, the General Chair - Prof. Tohru Kamiya from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan delivered the opening remarks. Prof. Hyo-Il Jung from Yonsei University, South Korea, Prof. TSUI Kwok-Wing Stephen from Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), shared their research works by keynote speeches.
Chair Prof. Jae Kyu Lee from Xi’an Jiaotong University\Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technolog, Korea and Prof. Ming Chen from Zhejiang University, China organized a workshop on Generative Genomics.

Prof. Jeroen Bergmann from University of Southern Denmark, Denmark, Prof. Jiang Gui from Dartmouth College, USA, Prof. Stephani Joy Y. Macalino from De La Salle University, Philippines, Dr. Michail Smyrnakis from Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), UK; Invited Tutorial Speaker-Assoc. Prof. Hamed S. Najafabadi, Human Genetics at McGill University, Canada,Assoc. Prof. James Li from Georgetown University Medical Center, USA and Prof. Zhen Cao, from Zhejiang University, China delivered invited talks.







Two tracks, nine oral sessions, and four poster sessions were successfully held under the joint efforts of session chairs and all presenters. They are broadly grouped in topics on "Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering for Prosthetics and Assistive Devices", "Micro- and Nano-Scale Systems for Biomedical Applications", "Computational Drug Discovery and Molecular Design", "Machine Learning-Driven Integration of Multi-Omics and Multimodal Data", "Intelligent Multimodal Medical Image Processing and Analysis", " Multimodal Biomedical Data Analysis in Clinical Decision Support", "Genomics and Multi-Omics: From Single Cells to Systems Biology", "Computational Modeling and Biomedical Systems", "Computational Biology and Precision Diagnostics & Therapy", "AI-driven Medical Data Analysis and Intelligent Diagnostics", "Biomedical Sensing, Devices and Healthcare Technologies", "Computational Biology and Systems Biology", "Medical Image Analysis and Computational Biomedical Modeling", "Advanced Biomaterials and Intelligent Medical Sensing", and "Digital Health and Intelligent Clinical Systems".
